Obituary for Yvonne Dottin (Fanfair)
Yvonne (Fanfair) Dottin entered into eternal peace on Sunday, January 21, 2018. She was born on October 29, 1949 to Irvin and Muriel Fanfair in Georgetown, Guyana, South America. Yvonne was a member of Revivaltime Tabernacle for over 25 years. Yvonne attended Fountain A.M.E. and NPC where she was trained in home economics. She was also formally trained in shorthand and typewriting at McDonald Commercial. Her education continued in Canada where she attained her diploma in Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant from Pathfinder Business College. In 2010, Yvonne completed her exams for the RESP Dealers Association of Canada. In her youth, Yvonne proudly served as a member of the Junior Chamber International (Jaycees) in Guyana. She chaired many committees for the Jaycees and held the official role of vice- president, of the women’s chapter, for a period of time. Being with family and friends was Yvonne’s delight. It gave her great joy seeing and interacting with her large extended family and friends at the many events she attended. She also enjoyed entertaining at her home. Yvonne is survived by her husband Winston Dottin, her mother Muriel Fanfair, her siblings Michael Fanfair, William (Charlo) Fanfair, Janet Fanfair Stephens, Eleanor (Cherry) Dennison and Howard Fanfair. Yvonne also leaves behind her two children Shaundel Dottin-Agim, Edward Dottin and her three grandchildren Calah Agim, Nicholas Agim and Kataleya Dottin. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Yvonne during her illness.
